History of the brand

Since July 23, 1941 and up to today Jeep brands is associated with real off-road capabilities, innovative technologies and continual improvement. Having started with the Willys-Overland model, almost 70 years ago Jeep brand opened the market of all-wheel drive cars and gave rise to the development of compact 4-door vehicles in the SUV class, having launched the Jeep Cherokee in 1983. All Jeep models which are created today anyway are the successors of the first vehicles of the brand.

The name "Jeep", registered in 1950 as an international trademark, gave rise to a brand which became one of the most known among the customers in the whole world. In addition, the word "jeep" became nominal in relation to off-road vehicles. Today Jeep models are marketed in more than 120 countries of the world, the total sales of vehicles with the well-known Jeep emblem exceeded 9 millions.

During its almost 70-year history, reliable and unpretentious universal all-wheel drive Jeep cars always were the heroes - not only in the wartime, but on agricultural grounds and in rescue operations during natural disasters of national scales as well.

Last decades were filled with implementation of pilot decisions, creation of cars which are setting the fashion, starting with the wartime Willys MB and finishing with the modern models. Being the first to master the niche of sport-utility vehicles, the brand continues to be the leader in the SUV segment.
