MOPAR ® RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PREPARING THE CAR TO THE SPRING-SUMMER SEASON:

Brake pads The average resource of brake pads depends on the vehicle exploitation conditions. Generally, brake pads are replaced every 20-30 000 km. Mopar® recommends to check regularly brake pads resource at authorized service stations, not relying on own experience or friends’ recommendations. Signs of brake pads wear: - decrease of braking efficiency - increase of brake pedal free movement - whistle or gnash when braking Genuine brake pads provide effective braking, exclude unpleasant vibrations. Moreover, they provide high wear resistance with optimum balance between wear and operational characteristics and minimize maintenance expenses.

Brake Disks Mopar® recommends replacement of brake disks in pair together with every second replacement of brake pads. Genuine brake disks pass serious tests and are balanced with maximum accuracy, guaranteeing total absence of unpleasant vibration and reduction of brake path. They also ensure safety and acoustic comfort.

Shock-absorbers Shock-absorbers are the main components of safety system, that is why it is recommended to check them regularly, - first of all, in case of brake path increase, decrease of maximum turning speed and abnormal vehicle jumping. We also recommend their replacement in pair for improvement of operational characteristics and safety increase. Genuine shock-absorbers provide optimum contact of the vehicle with a road. Apart from reduction of tires wear they increase movement stability, braking efficiency and driving comfort. Original shock-absorbers guarantee protection of the vehicle basic elements, including steering mechanism, hub bearings, hinges of steering drafts and tires.

Cabin filter Cabin filterclears air which enters inside the vehicle while heater or air-conditioner is working, holding the smallest particles of a dust, pollen and harmful substances. If a cabin filter wasn't replaced in time, heating system or air-conditioning are subject to corrosion because of poor air stream. Mopar® recommends checking of conditioning system at least once a year before a spring season.

Motor oil and oil filter Oil level in the engine should be checked regularly — ideally during each fuelling and before a distant trip. Each 20 000 km of mileage or not less than once a year oil and oil filter must be replaced. Intervals of oil replacement should be reduced if the vehicle is often exposed to big loadings or is exploited in severe conditions.
