The Commander is the first model of Jeep vehicles with three rows of seats. The broad-shouldered seats are arranged in stadium style, the second row is higher than the first, and the third is higher than the second. The stepped roof provides tall occupants of the second and third row with additional head room. The second row splits 40-20-40, the third row splits 50-50. The second and third row seats fold forward to create a flat load floor. A storage bin is located behind the third row of seats. Under the bin are provisions for storing the jack and tools. The top panel of the bin is removable and reversible. One side of the panel is carpeted, the opposite side is molded-in plastic, designed to stand up to the active lifestyle.
